Entrepreneurship for Veterans with Disabilities is under way!!

Well, hello all you fellow bloggers! We are up and running here at FSU's Center for Veteran Outreach! Last Monday was the first official day of the on-line portion of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities. This is a special day for all the veterans because they are able to log into Blackboard for the first time and start their communication with other classmates. At this time, veterans have the ability to introduce themselves and tell their story. After all, they will be spending much of their time during the next few weeks forming life-long bonds with each other. As far as administrative issues are concerned, all of the books have been sent out and veterans have been given assignments to read certain chapters.

With all this said, I think it's about time for a fun fact: we are less than a month away from the in-residence portion of the program! During in-residence, all of the veterans get to travel to Florida State University and have a classroom experience like no other. This part is very intense, but highly worth the hard work that everyone puts into it. In the classroom, veterans will be taught business concepts such as funding, marketing, networking, and many other ideas that will further their business plans.

This program sounds rough, doesn't it? But guess what...it's called Bootcamp for a reason. However, each veteran is not alone while going through this process. They will make friends and be seated alongside others just like themselves. All in all, this program is one that they will not regret and never ever forget!

Anyway, that's about it here for me, folks! As we get further into the on-line portion and closer to the in-residence, I will be keeping everyone updated via this blog so make sure to check it out! You won't want to miss out!
